The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and Geneva Macro Labs will host the webinar “AI and Resilience: Building a Future-Ready Society” on 18 February 2026, 15:00–16:30 CET, online (Zoom).
In an era of accelerating technological change, economic uncertainty, geopolitical shifts, and climate challenges, resilience is more critical than ever. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping industries, labour markets, governance models, and crisis response—offering significant opportunities to strengthen resilience, while also introducing new vulnerabilities and systemic risks, including misinformation, bias, security threats, and workforce disruption.
As AI becomes more deeply embedded in critical systems, this webinar will examine how it can support societal, economic, and environmental resilience—while addressing governance, ethics, and safeguards needed to mitigate unintended consequences.
The discussion will explore AI’s impacts across sectors (health, economy, climate, and social inclusion), AI-driven labour market shifts, and practical use cases for crisis management and long-term adaptability.
