LEAD-AI Project Officially Launched with Kick-off Meeting in Paris

The LEAD-AI – Empowering Adult Learners and Educators through AI project was officially launched with a two-day kick-off meeting held in Paris on 20–21 November 2025. This meeting marked the start of a 30-month cooperation partnership in adult education funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.

LEAD-AI aims to strengthen AI literacy and digital competences among adult learners and educators across Europe. The project focuses on the development of innovative pedagogical methodologies, practical AI training content, and an AI-enhanced online learning platform tailored to adult education and professional development contexts.

The kick-off meeting brought together representatives of all partner organisations involved in the project: Haikara (France) as project coordinator, Halmstad University (Sweden), ESCP Business School – Berlin (Germany), and Europroject (Bulgaria). The partnership combines complementary expertise in adult education, artificial intelligence, digital learning design, research, and European project dissemination.

During the meeting, partners aligned on the overall project objectives, structure, and implementation timeline. Discussions focused on the coordination of the work packages, covering project management, pedagogical framework and methodology design, the development of a generative AI training programme for adult learners and educators, and the creation of an AI-enhanced online learning platform.

The meeting also laid the foundations for the practical implementation of the project. Partners agreed on internal communication tools, procedures, documentation templates, and initiated work on needs analysis, target group identification, and performance indicators. Interactive exchanges allowed partners to share perspectives on existing AI training practices, identify gaps in adult education provision, and explore learner-centred approaches adapted to diverse professional backgrounds. The second day continued with collaborative workshops and thematic discussions, including reflections on AI-powered teaching support, learning activities, and the integration of generative AI tools into adult learning pathways.
